The Story so Far - Part 2
The small blighted town

The small lodge.

Because the next town been quite a distance away the scout asks around the caravan to see if anyone knows of somewhere they could rest up nearby for added shelter and security. Malic, trader and caravan owner, tells the scout of a small lodge a slight bit off the beaten road, Though he has never been their personally, friends of his have spoken about its owners who are kind friendly individuals who always welcome travelers, and suggests that’s the nearest safe place to go.

The caravan sets off to head there, the adventuring group at the front in case of problems.

During this time the captured paladin is stricken with grief of the inhumane horrors that he recently committed due to the Travincal Curse and is a mental wreak as he remembers all the torture and murder he had done along the way in the name of his god, even though it was all done through the curse, it still haunted him.

The group draws close to the lodge and is hit by a unpleasant smell, which gets worse the closer they get, the smell of rotten flesh.

As they approached they could see the rotten corpse of a horse in the stables. The lodge door had been bashed open and inside was a body of a human male was sprawled out on the floor, it seemed that this man had died trying to fend off attackers.

The residential part of the area had one large bed and one small, suggesting a couple and a kid had lived here, malic later confirmed this.

Unable to find any decent tracks due to the storm a few days before the group checks out further into the forest and discover a woman’s body with two arrows in her back, one in the left shoulder, one in the spine, the way the first arrow goes in it looks like the woman had either tried to dodge or was pushed out the way.

unfortunately the were no other signs of anyone else and the group head back,
Red decides to get a drink and uses the well out the back of the lodge and discovers a unusually large kite shaped gem in it and decides to keep it close by.

The next day the caravan decides to set back off which is when they realized that the paladin they had captured had stolen are horse and ridden off, tracks suggest he was heading to the town that the caravan was going to, strangely he had left all his other equipment, Armour, holy symbol and weapon behind with the group.

The blighted town

When reaching the town, the group quickly notices a lack of children around, as well as all the adults been fearful of the new group. The towns folk rally up and try arrest Dalos for the crimes his group did a few days back. The Paladin who was now blind, and a blacksmith walk into the group to explain the situation.

The group of Paladins had came into this town a few days earlier, accused some of the towns folk of been evil and had killed and punished them, The Paladin – who was named Teros had used his thumbs to destroy the blacksmiths eyes. When he returned he took the burden of eye loss himself but refused to then heal himself as punishment. He then explained the curse, Jacob the blacksmith was a kind and understanding man who places forgiveness above all else decided to help Teros explain his situation.

The group manages to persuade Teros to Heal himself and serve the town as payment for his evil deeds.
The group ask around at the local Tavern to find out why town has a lack of children playing about and it turns out that nearly every night a child had disappeared from the town. Alot of parents moved town and the ones who could not kept their kids indoors for their own safety.

The Caravan decides to stay outside the towns walls due to the amount of children they have with them and return to the town the next morning.

One of the mothers from the town approached Red, Asking for the groups help, her son had disappeared the night before and she offered a monetary reward for his return. Red offers to help but refuses to take the money.

The scout checks with the local guards to get information on where the children may be, they had been a few tracks on some of the kidnappings but most left no tracks at all, they get a map and a few people to help search.

In the mean time the cleric of Nyx used magic to find a direction and wellbeing of the young boy, he was in great pain and somewhere near the lodge, although closer to the mountain.

The group and the scout sets off to rescue the children which were taken.

The Story so Far - Part 1
The Caravan
A small group of adventurers are hired for as guards for a routine caravan supply run by Dalos Gray a crusader of Akarat, the god of light,

The group, along with Dalos, an elven scout called Serenthia and the caravan, set off.

A few days into the trip, the cleric of the group has a dream.
A dark figure with an eerier yet not ‘evil’ presence tells her that something is coming and to be careful.

The next day the scouts of the group see three travincal paladins accompanied with 20 hired mercs, they carry on knowing that if any problem were to break out that the odds were not in their favor.

When Dalos notices the paladins he offers to go talk to them alone, the paladins seemed agitated and angry for no reason, and point to the mercs to deal with the caravan if anything happens.
While talking Red overhears the conversation between the Crusader and the Templar , the paladins want all the crusaders dead for their betrayal and their pact with dark forces. Dalos tries to persuade the paladins that it is the paladins who are under the dark magic and that is why the crusaders left.
This angered the already agitated paladins and the leader of them drew his sword.

In the time it took for the paladin to draw his sword he was turned into red mist as Dalos lent into a shield bash sending a force of energy which obliterated the paladin, however this easy victory for dalos was short lived as he was then left open and has his right leg completely shattered and was unable to stand.

The third paladin, confident in his companions ability’s to kill a weakened opponent, moves to attack the group of adventurers.
Dalos puts a protective shield up while he quickly heals the damage and the adventurers prepare to take on an opponent much stronger than them.

With their combined forces of the group the adventurers managed to take out one of the Paladins and Stun the other. The few remaining mercs go to scatter and the group manage to capture some of them.

Dalos is surprised at the groups abilities and decides to test how much power they actually have within them, he suggests they try remove the curse with a spell, which the cleric manages using a ritual. The paladin then confirms that it was travincal church which is cursed and that he is a fairly new addition to the paladin order.

Dalos knows that that should not have been possible to reverse the curse, even through a ritual and by even a stronger cleric. and realises that this group he hired are far beyond that of a normal group of adventurers. He contacts the ‘old man’ through a magical scroll, and decides that this group might be able to help them gain an artifact simply known as ‘The map’ but before he tells the group about it he decides to entice them to help, and asks the old man to send Demialc with appropriate gifts for them for when they reach tristram, he would not tell the group about the gifts or the other errand he has planned just yet.

However unbeknownst to the group, they had other things to deal with before they would reach tristram .
